WISCASSET — HZT Records (Horizontal Trees Music) has joined forces with Wiscasset Speedway for the inaugural Wiscasset Speedway Summer Concert Series. Kicking off on June 28, 2023, the all-ages event will run every Wednesday evening through July 26, 2023
 
The series offers an eclectic mix of local artists and genres including series opening performances from folk singer/songwriter Anni Clark and Americana duo The Jenkins Twins.  
 
Other artists slated for this year’s lineup include Murlynn, The High Road, OuVre, On The Street, Kelsie Darnell, Stephanie Ryann, White Beard and Crooked Cabin. 
 
Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; music is from 6 - 8 p.m. Food and beverages will be available on site.

This Summer Concert Series is a big step forward in this effort. We encourage folks to bring a lawn chair or a blanket and settle back for a nice, relaxing, affordable evening out with some great music this summer. We can't thank HZT Records’ Allen [Foster] and Paula [Hersom] enough for helping us bring this idea to life”

Located in the coastal town of Wiscasset, Maine, the Wiscasset Speedway opened its doors for racing action in July 1969 and from that moment on would be known as “Maine’s Biggest & Fastest” stock car racing oval. The track is currently owned and operated by Richard and Vanessa Jordan of Kingfield, Maine, with racing action Saturday nights from April through October.
