ROCKPORT — The Camden Hills varsity boys soccer team closed out its last regular season home game in style defeating Messalonskee 3-0.

Fittingly, senior captain Ben Schenk opened the scoring on Camden Hills’ senior day when he converted a cross from Cam Brown midway through the first half.

Junior Lucas Moody would later convert two corner kick opportunities (both assisted by Charlie Pons) to put the game out of reach for the visiting Eagles.

The Windjammers led the Eagles in shots (15-2) and corner kicks (8-3).

Senior Henry Pharris made three saves in the Windjammer net to earn his fifth shutout of the season. Andrew Beckwith made three saves for Messalonskee.

Camden Hills moves to 9-1-1 on the season while Messalonskee falls to 5-7.

Seniors honored, alongside their families, ahead of the contest with a rose ceremony were Sam Brownawell, Ben Schenk, Elijah Stone, Henry Pharris, Jackson Fitch, Adrien Pierce, John Pessara and Joah Thompson.

“Each of them has contributed something special to our team and program and their households have been incredibly supportive of everything we do,” said Camden Hills head coach Ryan Hurley. “I was so pleased that we could put in a good performance today against a good team to celebrate in style.”
