BELFAST — At the state’s high school northern regional championships Saturday, Oct. 26, a total of 250 female cross country runners recorded finishing times across three classifications at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast. 

From a local perspective, highlights from the day include Camden Hills winning the Class A regional crown and Medomak Valley finishing second in Class B.

CLASS A

Camden Hills claimed the Class A regional championship with a total time of 1:42:58.11. 

Class A teams finishing within the top six of this meet earned spots at the state meet. 

As such, Camden Hills, Mount Blue, Bangor, Mount Ararat, Brunswick and Cony will advance.

Medomak Valley claimed second place in the Class B regional championship with a total time of 1:51:27.72. Belfast did not record a time as a team. 

Class B teams finishing within the top seven of this meet earned spots at the state meet.

Thus, Mount Desert Island, Medomak Valley, Ellsworth, Waterville, Winslow, Caribou and Hermon will advance.
