WARREN — Wesley L. “Bub” Morse, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on October 10, 2021.

Wesley was educated at Thomaston Grammer school. In his younger years, he spent most of his time helping run the family farm and helping run the transfer station in St. George.

Bub was very proud to have been a member of the St. George fire Department. He worked various odd jobs over the years. In most recent years he drove for Bunkers Transport.

In Wesley’s spare time he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, mowing the lawn, snowmobiling, target practicing, working on vehicles, and he loved riding his prized possession a 1981 Honda motorcycle.

In his younger years, you would find him tinkering with a vehicle or jumping the gravel pits at his home in St. George. In recent years his favorite pastime was playing pool with his grandson Wyatt. He always had a soft spot in his heart for animals.

To everyone that knew him, he was a comedian and would be the first to jump in and help anyone. Truly a kindhearted charter all his own.

Wesley is preceded by his father, Virgil Morse; his mother, Dorothy Barter Morse; brothers Clifford Morse, Gary Morse, Albert Johnson; and sisters Susan Libby, and Evelyn Hart.

He was survived by his older brother, Virgil Morse of St. George and his twin brother, Bill Morse of Rockland; his wife of 46 years, Korena Morse, of Warren; and his two daughters, Candi Johnson and her husband Chad of Thomaston, and Carrie and Blain Searle of Waldoboro; six grandchildren, Della, Sarah, Mary Johnson and Wyatt, Sebastian, Piper Searle; a good friend named Jamie Steves; and a very special puppy named Jack.

Family and friends are invited to join the family in a life celebration of Wesley’s life, November 6, 2021, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Thomaston Legion Hall, located at 10 Watts Lane.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Wesleys’s name to the Pope Memorial Humane Society, 25 Buttermilk Ln, Thomaston, ME 04861.
