BELFAST — Another “Weed, Seed & Sing” session will be held on Saturday, May 27, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., at Belfast City Park, just beyond the playground.

This time the group will be joined by the duo SwampTrees, the music of Graham Remocaldo and Mica Whitney.

This is a free, all-ages, community gardening event. Bring a trowel, sun hat, and water bottle.

“Come make a joyful noise and help make Belfast Beautiful!” said a news release.

You can watch the sunflowers you plant grow throughout the summer. Learn and garden together with permaculturist, herbalist and educator Suzanne Stone.

There will be more "Weed, Seed & Sing" sessions, "Tunes & Trowel" times, "Seaweed & Shanties" for mulch collecting on the shore, and "Sunflower Songs & Stories" once the garden is blooming.

Are you a garden bug? Sunflowers will be available to decorate, and each week there will be a new garden bug to attach to your sunflower.
