ROCKLAND — Midcoast Weavers will be presenting hands-on weaving demonstrations at the Rockland Farmers' Market, Harbor Park, Rockland, on Thursday, July 11, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
A variety of weaving equipment and accessories and hand woven articles will be displayed. Members will be available to answer questions and talk about the craft, art, and history of weaving. Please note, if it is raining the demonstration will be cancelled as weaving equipment and fiber are not weather resistant.
The Midcoast Weavers is a group of weavers who meet monthly on the second Wednesdays, from 10 to 11:45 a.m., at The Cashmere Goat, Bayview Street, Camden. Each meeting includes a discussion on one or more aspects of weaving and a robust show and tell session, according to the Weavers, in a news release.
