CAMDEN —  A Warren man who was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash June 30 at approximately 8:31 a.m. on Route 1 in Camden remains in serious condition at Maine Medical Center, in Portland.

Richard Payson, 66, was driving north on Belfast Road (Route 1) in Camden when his vehicle went off the roadway, struck a residential mailbox, traveled into a ditch on the side of the road, broke several small trees, struck two larger trees and then came to a stop, according to Camden Police.
