WALDOBORO — The Waldoboro Public Library is preparing for their second annual “Brats n' Brews” tasting event. The event will be held in conjunction with a live auction at the VFW Hall on Mill St. in Waldoboro on July 7.
The tasting event will be from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and will feature local brews from Odd Alewives Farm Brewery, Liberty Craft Brewing, Oxbow Brewing Company, and Threshers Brewing Company. Tickets to this event are $20 in advance or $22 at the door. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Waldoboro Public Library. Ticket holders can enjoy 8 (4 oz) samples of a variety of beers along with bratwursts from Morse’s Sauerkraut with a full complement of accompaniments.
Tickets will only be sold to those over 21 years of age, but "food only" tickets may also be purchased for $10 at the door.
At 7 p.m., the live auction will begin with John Bottero of Thomaston Place Auction Galleries at the podium. With something for everyone, the auction items include artwork, antiques, furniture, a kayak, lobsters, fine dining, a week's stay in a cabin in Rangeley and much more.
There will also be a silent auction taking place at the same time with assorted gift certificates, handmade items and more.
