Waldoboro Police beat: Arrest warrants, accidents

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 139 calls for service from March 28-April 3. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    March 29   

    Michael McGuire, 50, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Thomas Bartunek on warrants.

    April 2        

    Olivia Carter, 30, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Bartunek on a warrant.

    Douglass Knowlton, 28, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Dwight Jones on a warrant.

    April 3        

    Officer Nathaniel Jack investigated an accident on the Manktown Road at 7:15 a.m. A male juvenile, 16, of Union, was driving a 2005 Jeep utility vehicle. He was traveling southbound, following the roadway too fast for conditions and lost control. The driver went off the right side of the road and struck a tree on the passenger side. No injuries were reported.

    Chief John Lash investigated an accident on the Friendship Road at 8:09 a.m. Britany Fales, 31, of Warren, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet utility vehicle. Fales was traveling eastbound following the roadway, lost control of her vehicle and went off the road on the opposite side of the road. No injuries were reported.
