Waldoboro Police beat: Arrest warrant, stolen money

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 121 calls for service from Feb. 21-28. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Feb. 21        

    Officer Nathaniel Jack investigated an accident at the Atlantic Highway/Kaler’s Corner, Winslow’s Mills intersection at 6:27 a.m. Gifford Campbell, 20, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet pickup. Roger Eugley, 47, of Warren, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet pickup. Campbell was traveling south along the Winslow’s Mills Road when he failed to yield the right of way to Eugley, who was traveling east on the Atlantic Highway. No injuries were reported.

    Gifford Campbell received a summons for uninsured motor vehicle.

    Chief John Lash is investigating a report from a citizen about the theft of some money from her residence.

    Feb. 22        

    Dylan Grubbs, 26, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Jeffery Fuller for a probation violation.

    Feb. 27        

    Wyatt Tompkins, 56, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Jack for operating after suspension.
