BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Aug. 25 - Sept. 5. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

Aug. 25

Mikaela Slagger, 21, of Waldo, was arrested for domestic violence assault on Waterville Road in Swanville.

Deputy Cassandra McDonald responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Albion Road in Unity where a driver lost control of their vehicle after attempting to get a spider out of their vehicle. The driver stated the spider was on the driver side window, so they rolled down the window slightly to allow the spider to get out. The spider instead fell down, and the driver went off the roadway while trying to get it out of the 2013 GMC, which then struck a tree. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The driver suffered possible broken bones and was transported for medical treatment.

Aug. 27

Deputy Cassandra McDonald responded to the scene of a deer vs. vehicle accident on Pinnacle Road in Liberty. The 2016 Nissan sustained minor damage and the driver was uninjured.

Aug. 29

Bethany Wickham, 42, of Lincolnville, was arrested for failure to pay restitution.

Harmony Palmer, 29, of Swanville, was issued summonses for refusal to sign a uniform summons and complaint and disorderly conduct on West Grouse Lane in Swanville.

Aug. 30

Grace Jameson, 23, of Rockland, was issued summonses for operating after suspension and violating bail conditions on South Main Street in Searsmont.

Sept. 5

Corporal Darrin Moody responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Oak Hill Road in Swanville where an operator went off the road after traveling at speeds over the posted speed limit. The vehicle went off the left side of the roadway, hitting one tree before continuing down into the ditch and striking another tree. The driver suffered possible injuries to the back; the vehicle’s lone passenger suffered incapacitating injuries to the legs. Neither were wearing seatbelts. The 2002 Subaru was towed from the scene.
