Waldo County Humane Society announces upcoming rabies clinics

Event has passed

LINCOLNVILLE — The Waldo County Humane Society is holding a free rabies clinic Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lincolnville Fire Station. This is the second to last free rabies clinic this season. Dr. Chris Tomalty of Little River Veterinary Hospital will administer the shots, which are free for pet owners who live in Waldo County. Those who live outside the county are welcome and will be charged $7 per shot.

Pets should be on a leash or in a carrier. Bring proof of a previous rabies shot so your pet can receive a three-year rabies certificate.

In addition to rabies shots, coupons that offer discounts toward the cost of having pets spayed or neutered will be available.

The final clinic this season is set for Saturday, January 6, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Leroy Smith School in Winterport with Dr. Rachael Emerson of Ridge Runner Veterinary Services.
For information about the clinics call (207) 852-5033. The Waldo County Humane Society is also on Facebook.
