BELFAST — Friday, Feb. 14, from 7 - 10 p.m., Valentine’s Day, there will be an evening of fun, music, and dance at The Crosby Center, 96 Church Street, Belfast.
The Right Track, Midcoast Maine’s own 11-piece super band will provide the grooves: Rhythm and Blues, Soul, and Funk – “the best of dance music over the last 40 years,” said Summer Nights, in a news release. “Dancers and music fans will thrill to behold.”
Belfast Summer Nights music series is producing the event to raise funds to buy a new sound system. Increasing demands for better quality sound from musicians and more attentive audiences fuel the need, according to Summer Nights.
Admission is $12 at the door, $7 students. Couples, singles, families welcome.
Ando Anderson, Belfast Summer Nights founder, encourages everyone to come on down and dance to this band adding, “If you got any juice left these guys will stir it up.”
A few volunteers will be needed for help that night in exchange for free admission. The event organizers plan to release details of more Valentine fun in the coming weeks. FMI call 207-322-7123
