UPDATED: Police seek information regarding Stonington death

    STONINGTON — The death of a Stonington man inside his home, Monday, March 23, has been ruled a suicide, according to State Police. Investigators spent Monday night and most of Tuesday the deceased man’s home and told his relatives late Tuesday, of their findings. 


    State Police detectives are seeking information regarding a death in Stonington home on Monday, March 23.

    State police say the death of a man inside a home in Stonington is being considered suspicious, according to the Maine Department of Public Safety, in a news release.  

    The man's body was found inside the home at 44 Weed Field Road at approximately 2 p.m.

    The man's body was transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta for an autopsy that will take place Tuesday, March 24. 

    Detectives and Evidence Technicians remained at the home during the night and that work will continue through the next day, according to police.
