UPDATED: Oceanside, Medomak 7th basketball split contests

THOMASTON — The Medomak and Oceanside seventh grade basketball teams met on the court Thursday, Dec. 16 in Thomaston for a Busline League showdown. 

Girls: Oceanside 33, Medomak 22

Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 7-4, 16-10 and 29-16 en route to a 33-22 victory. 

Scoring for Medomak were Paige Gerlack (five points), Sidney Nicholls (four), Rachel Barbour (four), Grace Havener (six), Lilly Hills (one) and Brooke McNelly (two). 

Scoring for Oceanside were Maddie Knowlton (six points), Abby Stackpole (18 points) and Grace Mackie (nine). 

Boys: Medomak 47, Oceanside 46

Medomak posted quarterly advantages of 15-11, 21-19 and 35-28 en rote to a season-opening record of 4-0. 

Scoring for Medomak were Noah Taggert (12 points), Clark Elwell (10), Landon Starr (six), Liam Feeley (five), Landon Morrison (four), Kollin Donlin (four), Brayden Nadeau (two), Grady Curtis (two) and Andrew Flanders (two). 

Scoring for Oceanside were Alonzo Hoose (19 points), Sebastian Olsen (10), Nicholas Tripp (seven), Grady Geratz (four), Landon Weaver (two), Cody Dodge (two) and Levi Murphy (two).
