UPDATE: Camden Lions poster artist wins district level

    Local Peace Poster contest winner Avery Weeks has won 1st place at the Lion District 41 level, according to Camden Lions, in a news release. Week’s poster will now advance to the next judging level.

    “Congratulations to Avery Weeks,” said the Lions.
     
     

    Camden Lions announce poster contest winners

    A group of Camden Lions met November 12 at the clubhouse to judge the 2020 Lions International Peace Poster contest. This year’s theme is “Peace Through Service.”

    Lion Jerry Stone organized the Lion poster judging, and Jim Morse, Camden Rockport Middle School sixth grade teacher, organizes this poster contest for his students.

    Avery Wingate Weeks’ poster won (service people standing on a masked globe) and will journey next to the Lion district contest.  

    Runners up are Ava Pease (the Eastern rainbow mosque) and Mason Contakos (man looking at service workers).  

    All three students will receive a cash award from the LIons.
