UNITY — The fall sports season has come to a conclusion for Unity College with neither the soccer or volleyball teams in action this fall compiling winning records or qualifying for the playoffs. 

The Rams play in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and are a member of the Yankee Small College Conference. 

Men’s Soccer

The Unity men’s soccer program finished the season with a 5-9 overall record and a 3-4 conference record. 

The team collected wins over Paul Smith’s (1-0), Maine Presque Isle (3-1, 2-1 OT), Maine Machias (7-1) and Hampshire (4-0). 

The team’s losses came against New Hampshire Technical (1-0), Maine Farmington (5-0), Central Maine Community (1-0), Thomas (5-0), Maine Fort Kent (8-0), Northern Vermont (4-3), Vermont Tech (1-0), Maine Maritime (4-1) and Southern Maine Community (3-0). 

The roster included Sam Napper, Lucas Manthorn, Brenden Hinman, Owen Beattie, Jacob Cyr, Alex Mattson, Maxwell Keetch, Cyrus Beyer, Joseph Magnani, Mark Hoyt, Tyler Stockwell, Drew Lindner, Jason O’Toole, Cameron Leach, Scott Layne, Zachary Huber, Tanner Bell, Francesco Guerrero, Gage Clapp, Daniel Hoffman, Nevin Sweeney, Nicholas Patitucci, Kaleb Schaner and Koby Rider. The team was coached by Jeremy Von Oesen. 

Women’s Soccer

The Unity women’s soccer program finished the season with a 4-10 overall record and a 3-4 conference record. 

The team earned victories against Paul Smith’s (1-0), Hampshire (5-2), Vermont Tech (5-1) and Central Maine Community (2-1). 

Losses came against Maine Maritime (8-0), New Hampshire Technical (3-0), Central Maine Community (2-1), Maine Fort Kent (13-0), Northern Vermont (5-1), Maine Machias (3-2), Maine Presque Isle (3-1, 1-0), Thomas (4-0) and Southern Maine Community (3-0). 

The roster included Jordan Baker, Shannon McDougall, Kathleen Carey, Shannon Nelligan, Samantha Rockwell, Samantha Jalkowski, Emerald Wright, Olivia Abair, Libby Washburn, Nicole Robitaille, Jordan Taylor, Katie Cunningham, Hayley Reynolds, Stephanie Strauss, Sarah Cantwell and Bailey Holland. The team was coached by Jeremy Von Oesen. 

Women’s Volleyball

The Unity women’s volleyball team finished with a 4-14 overall record and a 4-8 conference record. 

Victories came against Central Maine Community (3-0, 3-0) and College of St. Joseph (3-0, 3-2). 

Losses came against Maine Machias (3-2, 3-0), Paul Smith’s (3-1, 3-1), Great Bay Community (3-1, 3-0), Maine Fort Kent (3-0, 3-0, 3-0), Green Mountain (3-1), Maine Presque Isle (3-0), Husson (3-0) and New Hampshire Technical (3-1, 3-0). 

The roster included Emily Buchtman, Emily MacDonald, Sarah Lewis, Sara Powell, Cyndle Turcotte, Taylor Merrick, Kaylee Lyon, Krystina O’Sullivan and Lisa Cebula. The team was coached by Tim Lecrone.
