Unity College splits soccer twin bill with Mustangs






UNITY, ME-The Unity women’s soccer team played a much improved Central Maine Community College and was able pull out 2-0 win on Friday afternoon at Unity College. Unity was in charge from start to end, and had eight shots on goal compared to the Mustangs two shots.
Scoring for Unity College were Ashley Moeller unassisted and Michelle Wagner with an assist from Melinda Gray. Paige Blaker had two saves. No stats provided for CMCC.
The women will play Southern Maine Community College on Saturday at 1 pm.

In the men’s game on Friday at Unity College, the men’s soccer team was not able to avenge an early season 2-0 loss to Central Maine Community College as they fell to the Mustangs 1-0 in game that they controlled for all but the final 10 minutes of play.
The Mustangs George Clement took a pass from Jacob Roy and drilled the ball into the back of the net past Unity keeper Brendan Wallace in the 78th minute for the eventual winning goal.
Richard Lee led Unity with four shots on goal, and goalie Wallace had 5 saves. No stats provided for CMCC.
Unity will play Southern Maine Community College on Saturday September 22 at 3 pm.
