UNION — The Union Masonic Lodge 31 will be holding a Lobster Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 24, from noon to 2 p.m. The event will be held at their Lodge located at 149 Sennebec Road in Union.
The dinner will consist of a lobster, potato salad, macaroni salad, and a drink. Dinners should be ordered in advance by calling Gary at 749-1846. Dinners may be available the day of the event on a first come first serve basis.
This is Free to the public, however donations will be accepted. All proceeds from the dinner will be used for Lodge improvements.
Because of the current pandemic the Lobster Dinner will be set up as a drive thru process at the Masonic Lodge parking lot. However, there will be picnic tables set up on the Masonic Lodge grounds for people to utilize if they desire, weather permitting.
"Along with the State of Maine's 200th Anniversary being celebrated this year, it is also the Union Masonic Lodge's 200th birthday as it was founded in 1820,” said Gary Roberts, Master of the Union Masonic Lodge, in a news release. “We have appreciated the support of the community over the years and this Lobster Dinner is one way we want to say thank you to the Union area communities."
The event will be held rain or shine as it is a drive thru set up.
