ROCKLAND —  At the November 3 Rockland Planning Board meeting, board members will hear proposals for two organizations related to health and wellness that are seeking new locations for their established businesses.

A marijuana retail business is requesting authorization to occupy a leased space on Park Street (Route 1) in a former smoke shop. Away from Route 1 traffic, a walk-in health clinic hopes to begin treating patients on Old County Road, pending approval of the Planning Board.

Coastal Medical Clinic, under the ownership and operation of Nurse Practitioner Charlotte Mazzeo Campbell, aims to being seeing non-urgent walk-ins at 269 Old County Road after practicing for several years at 32 Birch Street. Campbell estimates startup costs at approximately $25,000 - $30,000 for the 529 square-foot facility.

New World Organics has entered into a five-year lease agreement for a previously-developed parcel at 193 Park Street measuring 33,666 sq ft. In the Planning Board application, architect Chuck Campbell assures that there will be no emission of dust, fumes, fly ash, vapor, smoke, particulate matter, gases, or chemicals from the property. Owner Nancy Shaw estimates startup costs at approximately $10,000, with an estimated date of completion around December 1.

The Planning Board meeting on November 3 begins at 5:15.  The full agenda follows:
