Two free computer classes offered at Belfast library in December 2024
BELFAST — The Belfast Free Library and the National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) will be presenting two free computer classes to take place in the library’s Abbott Room: “Identifying Frauds & Scams” on December 10, from 12 - 1 p.m., followed by “Cloud-based Backup Solutions” on December 13, from 3 - 4 p.m.
In “Internet Safety,” participants will learn about the different types of internet fraud and scams, the dos and don’ts of protecting oneself online, and what to do if experiencing online fraud or abuse. This class will take place on Tuesday, December 10, from 12 - 1 p.m.
In “Cloud-based Backup Solutions” participants will learn about the most popular, free, cloud-based platforms to safely back-up their most important information. This class will take place on Friday, December 13, from 3 - 4 p.m.
These workshops are free to Maine residents, but space is limited and registration is required. To register for one or both of these classes, please fill out the form on the NDEC website at https://digitalequitycenter.org/classes/class_location/belfast-free-library/.
