APPLETON — On Thursday, Nov. 15, 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., Appleton Library's Third Thursday Talk series presents "Trash Talk," with David Stanley, about the town’s solid waste center.

Stanley manages the Tri-County Solid Waste Management station in Union. He will explain how the station handles everything that residents of Appleton, Liberty, Somerville, Union, and Washington bring in for disposal.

“You may be amazed and impressed to hear how little of the station’s solid waste goes to landfills and how many items are reused,” said an Appleton news release.

Stanley will explain why the station is no “dump” and field questions about costs, recycling, reuse, disposal, and more.
