THOMASTON — Everyone who cares about Thomaston’s future is invited to come together again for a focused talk on “Preserving Our Town’s Character.”
The Thursday, May 9, community gathering at Watts Hall begins with a free spaghetti supper at 5 p.m. The Community Conversation follows at 5:30 p.m.
Child care will be provided.
Beginning in 2017, residents participated in a series of “Thomaston Talks,” greatly assisting the Comprehensive Plan Committee with what is seen as the town’s greatest assets and its greatest challenges. Since then, the Committee has been doing its homework collecting information from other sources and meeting every other week as well as lots of Saturdays to analyze the data and map out a plan to move forward.
Now, it’s time for the Committee to share its work to date and get additional feedback. The Comprehensive Plan is the basis for all decision making in the Town over the next ten years.
The involvement of the people of Thomaston is critical in this process for the town’s future, according to the Committee, in a news release.
This Community Conversation is the first in a three part series which is designed to be fun, informative and valuable.
