Thomaston to host informational meeting about new municipal project
THOMASTON — All members of the Thomaston community are invited to join the discussion about the future plans for the recently acquired Lura Libby School building.
Over the last few months the Town of Thomaston Standing Municipal Facilities Committee (SMFC) has been working on the development of plans to convert the old elementary school into the new home of the Thomaston Town Offices, Recreation Department, Food Pantry, Police Department, and Fire & Ambulance. The SMFC has been working with local architect, John Hansen, who will be at the informational meeting to discuss the proposed design and answer questions.
The event starts at 6 p.m. with a tour of the Lura Libby Facility as it sits today and then at 7 p.m. the informational meeting will begin.
The Lura Libby School is located at 13 Valley Street, Thomaston, Maine. For questions please contact the Thomaston Town Office at (207) 354-6107.
