Thomaston dedicates 2025-2026 Town Report to Bill Hahn
THOMASTON — The Town of Thomaston has dedicated its 2025–2026 Annual Report to Bill Hahn in recognition of more than 18 years of dedicated service on the Select Board and his enduring contributions to the community.
Bill concluded his long and distinguished tenure on the Select Board in June 2025, leaving behind a legacy of thoughtful leadership, steady guidance, and unwavering commitment to the Town of Thomaston, the town wrote, in a news release of the dedication.

Throughout his years of service, he generously shared his time and talents, contributing to nearly every corner of civic life.
Over the years, Bill served with distinction on numerous boards and committees, including the Georges River Regional Shellfish Management Board, the Economic and Community Development Committee, the Redevelopment Committee, the Cemetery Board of Trustees, and the Building Committee. He also represented Thomaston on a regional level through his work with the Midcoast Economic Development District and the Midcoast Council of Governments.
Among his many contributions, Bill's dedication to the preservation and revitalization of the Watts Block stands as one of his most lasting legacies. Through years of steadfast support, wise counsel, and hands-on involvement, he played a vital role in the successful renovation of the historic building, helping ensure that it will continue to serve and enrich the community for generations to come. Even after concluding his Select Board service, Bill continues to lend his time and expertise to the ongoing operations of the Watts Block.
In addition to his civic leadership, Bill has enriched Thomaston through his passion for music and the arts. Whether performing with the Watts Hall Band or supporting local theater alongside his wife, Daryl, he has helped foster Thomaston's vibrant cultural spirit.
