THOMASTON — Thomaston’s annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held again this year at the Federated Church on Hyler Street, in Thomaston.
The Thomaston Random Acts of Kindness (TRAK) will be serving up a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with roast turkey, stuffing and gravy, potatoes, squash, onions, peas, cranberry sauce, and a wide array of homemade desserts.
TRAK has hosted this complimentary dinner for Thomaston residents and their friends for many years. While this dinner has become a place which many attend when they otherwise would be alone or circumstances keep them from having or preparing a traditional dinner, many more (even families) now come each year just because it’s fun, according to TRAK, in a news release.
“For this one day, we’re all one family with all the holiday trimmings,” said TRAK.
Dinner will be served at noon on Thanksgiving Day, but the doors will be open at 11 a.m.
Reservations aren’t required, but if you plan to be a part of the Dinner family, call the Thomaston Town Office at 354-6107 with your name and the number of people in your group by Wednesday, November 20.
“Don’t be by yourself this year, come join us!” said TRAK. “We don’t want anyone hungry or alone.”
