Thank You For Electing Me

Fri, 03/06/2020 - 3:00pm

The huge turnout of voters in Searsport and across the state last week was a rush!  I’m proud to be a newly elected selectman and even if I didn’t get your vote, I’m happy to know that so many participated in the process.

With a list of such worthy candidates, our next responsibility will be to keep everyone engaged and create the world that we’re looking for…Searsport’s 175th birthday gives us the perfect reason to gather, dream and execute our best plans.

I pledge to listen to your questions, concerns and positive ideas for our town and region and be guided by your input. I will explore fresh and innovative ways that can create revenue streams for the town. I’m willing to lead as a Selectman on implementing smart growth strategies to improve our infrastructure and signage, recreation and tourism areas and attractions and pursuing business growth that contributes to the well-being of Searsport. I am confident that building working relationships with our neighboring towns is the surest way to ensure our success as a region .

One last thing…when you see Dick Desmarais in town, I hope that you’ll join me in taking a moment to shake his hand and saying thank you.  He has given untold amounts of time and energy into making our town run as efficiently as possible we all owe him a debt of gratitude.

Thank you again for having faith in me.
