Swan Lake Grocery on top, Camden still searching for victory
Over the past few days, there have been several Babe Ruth baseball games. With the end of the regular season rapidly approaching, teams are starting to make their final playoff pushes.

Waldo County posted four runs in the first, three in the second and fifth and one in the sixth, while Camden chalked up three in the second and one in the seventh.
At the plate for Camden, Daniel Peabody ripped two singles, while Nick Camelleri had a single and two RBI. Joergen Ostensen had a single, RBI and run, Connor O’Farrell had a single and run, Owen Hilt had a single and Aidan Roberts had a run.
Waldo County was led at the plate by Kyle Moore who had a single, double, two RBI and two runs, while Emmett Shell had a single, RBI and two runs. Other contributors included Mitchell Philbrook (single, RBI, run), Joey Dana (single, RBI, run, stolen base), Brandon Smith (single, run, two stolen bases), Coley Frey (single, RBI), Evan Thomas (single, RBI) and Barrett Grant (single, 2 runs). Caleb Ackley had a RBI, while Dylan Dinardo and Liam Cail had a run and stolen base each.
On the hill for Camden were Daniel Peabody (1.2 innings, 7 runs, 6 hits, 3 walks), Nick Camelleri (3.1 innings, 3 runs, 3 hits, 4 walks, 4 strikeouts) and Jacson Mooers (1 inning, 1 run, 1 walk, 1 strikeout).

The Wiscasset Merchants tacked on two runs in the first inning, following a one-run Rockland Café top of the first inning. Wiscasset Merchants then tacked on one more assurance run in the third inning to boost them to a 3-1 victory.
Coby Dorr went 5.1 innings on the mound for Rockland Café giving up all three runs, two hits, six walks, two hit batters and seven fanned batters. Anthony Moore pitched the final two outs of the game and fanned one batter.
On the mound for the Wiscasset Merchants was Tyler Bailey who pitched a complete game and gave up one run/earned run, six hits, one walk and fanned 13 batters.
Titus Kaewthong ripped a single and double for Rockland Café.
Waldo County 8, Waldoboro 0
Waldo County drove in five runs in the first three innings -- two in each the first two innings and one in the third – en route to its 8-0 shutout victory.
Waldo County also posted three runs in the final frame of the game.
On offense for Waldo County, Brandon Smith led the way with a double, triple, two runs-batted-in (RBI), two runs and a stolen base. Emmett Shell chalked up a stat line that included a single, double, RBI, three runs and two stolen bases. Other contributors included Barrett Grant (double, RBI, run), Max Thomas (double, 2 RBI), Kyle Moore (single, stolen base) and Joey Danna (single, run, stolen base). Colby Furrow, Mitchell Philbrook and Evan Thomas all stole one base, while Furrow crossed the plate once.
At the plate for Waldoboro, Adam Eutsler led the charge with a double, while Isaac Eutsler had a single and two stolen bases. Other contributors included Ollie Brown and Brent Steweart who each had a single.
On the mound for Waldo County, Moore went four innings, allowing two hits and three walks, while Danna went three innings and allowed two hits, one walk and fanned four batters.
Toeing the rubber for Waldoboro were Owen Gilbert and Kevin White, who combined for 7 innings of work, giving up eight runs, eight hits, six walks and fanning four batters.
