Summer’s End Cookout in Cushing to benefit Pope Memorial

    CUSHING — Cristen’s Custom Cuties is hosting a cookout in Cushing for the benefit of Pope Memorial Humane Society. The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., at Arts In The Barn, 17 Hathorne Point Road, in Cushing.

    The event includes a craft fair, corn hole games, a BBQ, and live music.

    Food will be served from 12 - 1 p.m. Hots dogs will be $2 each, a plate of sides will be $5 per plate, with salads, chips and a drink all included in the price. Coming back for seconds will be another charge, but all funds go to the animals in the Pope Memorial shelter.

    Ryan Moody and his band play from 1 - 3 p.m.

    Corn hole will be set up from 2 - 4 p.m., and to play you will need to purchase $5 raffle ticket, which will enter you into a chance to win one of three door prizes. All proceeds from the corn hole purchases will go towards the shelter.

    Doors open at 11 a.m. for the crafts fair, which will be in the Barn. Bags, shirts, cups, jewelry, soap, pottery and more.

    Rain day is Sunday, Sept. 11.
