ROCKLAND — All are welcome to the free turkey dinner with all the traditional dishes trimmings: mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, and lots of pies.
The dinner is on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the Church Parish Hall of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
An informal service of thanksgiving with Holy Eucharist will be held in the church parlor at 11 a.m.
The church is located at 11 White Street in Rockland. There is no charge for the dinner.
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church welcomes anyone to attend with a special invitation to those who would otherwise be alone on this occasion.
“Come to help,” said the church, in a news release. “Come to give thanks. Come to feast with friends.”
Anyone who wishes to assist with the preparation and serving of the meal, or who would like to contribute to the meal with donations of food or cash, may call Lucia Elder at 446-2502, or St Peter’s church office at 594-8191.
