Event has passed

CAMDEN — Naturalist Kristen Lindquist will lead a spring migration birding workshop on Saturday, May 8, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.

Lindquist will lead birders of all skill levels through the forests and fields of Merryspring to look and listen for spring-migrating birds. Along the way, she will offer tips for finding and identifying birds by their song and by plumage.

“This class is a great introduction to the world of birding and an excellent way to familiarize with native bird species,” said Merryspring, in a news release.

This is an outdoor workshop. Guests are advised to wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and be prepared to walk for up to two hours. Binoculars are encouraged, but not required. Face masks are required for all guests.

This program is part of the Weekend Workshop series at Merryspring.

The cost of this class is $5, with free admission for Merryspring members.

Space is limited, so guests must preregister and pay by contacting Merryspring at 207-236-2239 or info@merryspring.org.
