WARREN — On Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m., at the Dr. Campbell House, in Warren, the Warren Historical Society will present a program on “Early Warren Settlers.”
Deb Mansfield and Karin Larson will give a talk and slide show including early groups of mostly Scots-Irish settlers, a brief overview of why their families emigrated from Scotland to Northern Ireland to America, and details about a few families among the 1736 and 1753 settlers.
The Old Settlers’ Cemetery was probably used from 1736 to about 1792, according to the Historical Society. It is located on the original meeting house lot laid owned by Samuel Waldo.
Light refreshments will be served.
