Thursday evening, Oct. 10, the clouds blew away and the Northern Lights put on another spectacular production over Maine. People threw on jackets and found spots to watch the dancing aurora borealis take over the heavens.
According to NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), the area of impact from the latest solar storm is, "primarily poleward of 45 geomagnetic latitude."
The aurora could be seen as far low as Alabama and northern California.
