Seventy-three businesses attending Rockland’s 3rd Hiring Fair
ROCKLAND — Seventy-three business and organizations will be in attendance for the 2019 Rockland Regional Spring Hiring Fair, Wednesday, April 17, from 3:30 to 6 p.m., at South School in Rockland.
Maine Department of Economic and Community Development Deputy Commissioner Denise J. Garland will also attend the Fair.
A production of Rockland Main Street, Inc., the 3rd annual Spring Hiring Fair includes businesses and organizations from Knox, Lincoln, and Waldo counties.
Jobs and employment opportunities include entry level and senior level, full time and part time, year-round and seasonal, skilled labor, technical, customer service, hotel and hospitality, corrections and law enforcement, clerical, professional/certified and advance degree, retail, restaurant and food service, healthcare, banking, environmental and janitorial, travel and transportation, indoor and outdoor jobs, manufacturing, research and development, landscaping and lawn care, mechanical, bookkeeping, design and printing, marine and maritime, volunteer opportunities, museum collections and art, construction and maintenance, community outreach and economic development, call center, communications, party planning, education, outdoor recreation, and more.
This event is the single most comprehensive collection of employers in the Midcoast region gathered under one roof for the [primary] purpose of attracting job seekers and to educate those who are unemployed or under-employed about job opportunities in and around Knox County, according to Rockland Main Street, in a news release.
Retirees and other seniors, veterans and students are encouraged to attend.
Applications and on-the-spot interviews will be offered, and resumes will be collected.
Businesses and organizations in attendance will also provide more information about their products and services to interested members of the public.
The event is free and open to the public. The first 200 attendees will receive a free, reusable shopping bag, while they last.
