ROCKPORT — The Knox County Triad is hosting a “Senior Day” on Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Rockport Masonic Hall on 361 Main Street Rockport. 

The event will include a free blood pressure clinic, flu shots and presentations about scams targeting seniors and end of life planning.

There will also be a drug take back bin available, bingo games, and a free lunch for those who attend.

The organizations participating in the event are the Camden Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Camden District Nursing, and Legal Services for the Elderly. 

The Knox County TRIAD chapter consists of concerned citizens, public safety officials, medical safety units, and healthcare representatives. The group meets regularly to discuss the prevention of elder abuse. This abuse can be physical, verbal, domestic, and financial, including scams.
