ST. GEORGE — The public is invited to meet local harvesters, processors, and distributors, and learn about the variety of trades: the regulations they adhere to, and the associated struggles and risks, as well as rewards of sustainably harvesting seafood around St. George.
Jackson Memorial Library will have representatives from Oysters, Clam, Seaweed, Lobster, Ground Fishing, and others, as well as processors and distributors.
August 10: Seaweed and Oyster Harvesters
August 17: Lobster, Shellfish and Bait Processors
August 24: Offshore, Tuna fishers, Port Clyde Fresh Catch
All events take place at 6 p.m., outdoors (weather permitting) at the Jackson Memorial Library. Zoom links are available upon request.
