Event has passed

ROCKPORT — The Rockport Public Library will hold an indoor program featuring artist and Rockport native Jon Moro with his newest sculpture of Robin Hood.

This is an all-ages program, perfect for elementary school students, and anyone with an interest in woodworking, according to RPL, in a news release.

The program will be held Saturday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. at the Rockport Public Library.

Moro will be talking about the history of Robin Hood, and about the process he went through to create his sculpture.

Robin Hood is currently on display in the children’s room. Stop by to see him and pick up some related activity sheets.

Jon Moro is an artist with a passion for carving wood, painting, and exploring the dynamic expression of bodies in motion. His sculptural work focuses primarily on humans in motion, from figures to life-size pieces, and each is carved and shaped from wood.

He is represented by Leslie Curtis Designs at 8 Bayview Street in Camden. See more of Moro’s work at Leslie Curtis Designs at 8 Bayview Street in Camden.
