BELFAST — The Belfast Free Library will offer a free Scratch computer programming workshop series for kids ages 9 and up beginning Wednesday, April 24. Participants will work with instructor Eric Cohen-Solal to design and code their own computer program ideas.
Using the MIT-developed Scratch program they can learn to create interactive stories, animation, games, and art. Beginners and experienced Scratch users are welcome to attend.
This is a drop in program where participants can attend a single meeting or return each week.
Workshops are scheduled in the library's new MakerSpace each Wednesday 4 - 5 p.m., from April 24 through May 29.
Computers will be available for participants use, or they may bring their own laptops.
