Camden Farmers’ Market will be celebrating spring with a “Taste of the Market,” Saturday, June 8, from 9 to noon. Each vendor will be offering a sample of a dish using ingredients produced at their farm or business.
This offers shoppers the opportunity to explore new recipes with spring-grown, local components like asparagus, rhubarb, and baby greens, and to buy seedlings to put in the ground for home-harvesting, according to a news release.
In addition to Taste of the Market dishes, there will also be a range of perennial standbys available for tasting, from charcuterie to jam, fresh bread and crackers, cheese and yogurt, energy gems and maple syrup.
Contrary to some earlier press, the remediation project planned for Tannery Park has been postponed, so the market, which moved to the site further up Washington Street two years ago, will still be at the Park location, according to the release.
