BELFAST — An exhibit of art quilts, “Same But Different” by Amy Nichols and Alison Olds, is on display in the Kramer Gallery of the Belfast Free Library through May 31, 2021.

Amy Nichols and Alison Olds, of Deer Hill Designs, have been friends, neighbors, and co-creators for many years. Living next door to each other on a scenic hilltop in Jackson, they are longtime art quilters who have explored many facets of quilting through classes and workshops from many renowned quilters, including Rosalie Dace, Pepper Cory, Freida Anderson, Robbi Joy Eklow, and Jo Diggs.

“When visiting quilt and fabric shops, we often purchase the same fabric and supplies, which sparked the idea for this show: Same But Different,” said Nichols Olds, in a BFL news release. “It has been an interesting journey to see how we as quilters have produced such different quilts, while using many similar materials and designs.”
