ROCKLAND — Roxann L. Burnside, 64, died Friday, December 17, 2021, at Maine Medical Center in Portland as a result of Covid.

Born in Rockland, July 19, 1957, at her family’s home, she was the daughter of Richard and Elaine Carroll Harrington.

Roxann loved all animals, especially her beloved cats, and several dogs she has owned over the years. Although a quiet and private person she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family, especially at family get together. She also loved to go to lunch with her sisters and looked forward to their annual “Christmas-Ween” party.

She was a talented crafter, making many beautiful diamond art prints, crocheted items and wonderful scrapbooks. She loved being outdoors, whether tending her gardens or walking the beach, combing for sea glass.

She was a homebody, but enjoyed traveling as well, both riding with her husband, Mal, in his big-rig truck, or just in the car, she was happy. She especially loved dragging him to Walmart for shopping trips. Together with
Malcom and her son, she enjoyed a wonderful vacation on the beach in Florida, taking in the fresh air, blue water and white sand where she picked up countless shells.

Roxann’s quiet love will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Predeceased by her parents, Richard and Elaine Harrington; and her sister Sharon A. Allen; Roxann is survived by her beloved husband with whom she shared over 27 years, Malcolm Burnside, of Rockland; her daughter Brandy L. Oliver; her son James W. Connon; her granddaughter Kaitlyn A. Davis, Rhonda L. Anderson, Gail C. McClure, Michele M. Brannan, Melinda J. Blastow, and Tracey L. Randall; as well as many nieces and nephews and a large loving extended family.
