Should the town impose regulations on short-term rentals?

THIS EVENING: Rockport wants to hear from citizens about short-term rental rules

    ROCKPORT — On Thursday, July 9, 2020, 5:30 p.m., via Zoom only, and streamed at, Rockport will host a workshop to receive public comments on residential short-term rentals and whether the Town should propose regulations for residential short-term rentals.

    Because of the current pandemic, and to accomodate as many people as possible, the workshop will be held via the videoconferencing application Zoom.

    Anyone wishing to participate in the meeting must email the Town Manager’s Executive Assistant, Diane Hamilton, at to receive an emailed invitation to the workshop by July 9, 2 p.m.

    There will be no in-person attendance.

    The Town also is accepting written comments on this subject and these also can be emailed to, or mailed the Town Manager’s Office, 101 Main St., Rockport, ME 04856.
