ROCKPORT — After trying to reschedule the event multiple times, the annual blast — literally — that locals have come to love is now scheduled to take place Friday, Dec. 31, in Rockport, when the annual Holiday on the Harbor is celebrated.
Weather has repeatedly pushed the event to new dates, and organizers are hoping to close out the year with this wonderful celebration.
Santa will be arriving at the harbor at 4:30 p.m., followed by children’s story time near Andre the Seal. Outdoor fire pits will be blazing away for warmth, and there will be music, Flatbread Pizza and other refreshments at Rockport Marine Park.
At 5:30 p.m., the tree-lighting will take place, followed by the fireworks over Rockport Harbor.
Parking is available at the former Rockport Elementary School Site, and on West Street.
