Rockport resident, new CEO of CLYNK, to discuss the Circular Economy for Reuse and Recycling

    ROCKLAND — On Wednesday, June 21, at 6 p.m., the Rockport Public Library will host a presentation by Matt Prindiville in the final program of this season's Rockport Conservation Commission Climate Series. Prindiville, who is the CEO of CLYNK, will focus on the impacts of single use plastic on climate emissions and growing the circular economy for reuse and recycling.

    Prindiville will provide the audience with practical tips on actions they can take at home to reduce their plastic waste and carbon footprint. He will also highlight policies the public can support to encourage companies to adopt more sustainable practices and reduce their reliance on single-use. 

    Matt Prindiville is a Rockport resident. He is the new CEO of CLYNK, a circularity solutions company. Previously, he was CEO of Upstream, a nonprofit helping accelerate the transition from single-use to reuse and the circular economy. He co-founded the international BreakFreeFromPlastic Movement, developed numerous national campaigns, and advises the United Nations Environment Program and World Economic Forum. His work has been featured in The Economist, New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, and 60 Minutes.
