Rockport Police beat: OUI, leaving the scene of accident, failure to maintain control of motor vehicle

    ROCKPORT — Rockport police reported the following activity Oct. 17-Nov. 1. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Late entries (Oct. 7-13)

    Oct. 7

    Nicki A. Harvey, 19, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Taylor for operating after suspension.

    Oct. 10

    Peter Hass, 55, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Officer Anthony Del Vecchio violating condition of release.

    Oct. 11

    Michael T. Underhill, 32, of Camden, was issued a summons by Taylor for operating after suspension.

    Oct. 13

    Jesse Mansfield, 20, of Rockland, was charged by Del Vecchio for excessive speed by 30 mph or more.

    Oct. 17

    Andrew Tyler, 26, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Officer Travis Ford for inspection and insurance violations.

    Samuel L. Merrifield, 32, of Warren, was charged by Del Vecchio with OUI, eluding an officer, failure to give notice of accident by quickest means, leaving the scene of an accident.

    Oct. 20

    William  Anderson, 66, of Northport, was issued a summons by Sgt. Jim Moore for operating motor vehicle more than 150 days.

    Oct. 21

    Dale Lavi, 53, of South Thomaston, was issued a summons by Ford for inspection violation.

    Oct. 24

    Joel St. Clair, 40, of Port Clyde, was issued a summons by Ford for operating a vehicle more than 150 days.

    Philip E. Davis, 28, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Ford for insurance violation.

    David L. Spahr, 68, of Washington, was issued a summons by Moore for failure to register motor vehicle 30-150 days.

    Oct. 25

    Robert Leadbetter, 45, of Lincolnville, was issued a summons by Taylor for insurance violation.

    Oct. 26

    Richard Mason, 56, of New Portland, was issued a summons by Del Vecchio for speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone.

    Oct. 28

    Juvenile, of Thomaston, was issued a summons by Taylor for failure to maintain control of motor vehicle.

    Oct. 31

    Andrew Drummond, 28, of Biddeford, was issued a summons by Officer Jacob Powers for speeding 58 mph in a 35 mph zone.

    Nov. 1

    Joan M. Mullaney, 73, of Camden, was issued a summons by Taylor for failure to maintain control of motor vehicle.
