Rockport Police beat: OUI, inspection violations, speeding

    ROCKPORT — Rockport police reported the following activity Aug. 22-Sept. 1. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Aug. 22

    Hunter Brown, 18, of Union, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Taylor for inspection violation.

    John W. Chilton, 19, of Camden, was issued a summons by Officer Tony Del Vecchio for speeding.

    Aug. 23

    Jeffrey Sholes, 32, of Rockland, was charged by Sgt. Jim Moore with operating under the influence, criminal speeding.

    Aug. 24

    Barbara J. Watrous, 65, of Merrimack, N.H., was issued a summons by Del Vecchio for speeding.

    Samuel Q. Russo, 19, of Camden, was issued a summons by Del Vecchio for speeding.

    Elizabeth D. Noble, 43, of Camden, was issued a summons by Taylor for insurance violation.

    Aug. 25

    Judy Walker, 23, of Windsor, was issued a summons by Taylor for expired registration over 150 days.

    Aug. 26

    John D. Anderson, 46, of Hope, was issued a summons by Officer Travis Ford for insurance violation.

    Aug. 31

    Linda Cunningham, 58, of Owls Head, was issued a summons by Del Vecchio for speeding.

    Sept. 1

    Ashley A. York, 27, of Union, was issued a summons by Ford for inspection violation.
