Rockport man charged with burglary at Rockland tavern

    ROCKLAND — Rockland police have also charged a Rockport man who is being held in jail after he allegedly created a police standoff, with burglary.

    Mark Hupper, 35, was charged on Nov. 4 with burglary after a police investigation into multiple burglaries that occurred at the Time Out Pub in October, according to a press release from Rockland Police Chief Chris Young.

    Police said that during the burglaries, money, alcohol and other items were taken and property was destroyed.

    More charges related to these incidents are expected, Rockland Police Detective Alex Gaylor said in the news release.

    Hupper remains at the Knox County Jail after he was arrested Oct. 21 on the charges of kidnapping, domestic violence assault and creating a police standoff.
