ROCKLAND — As of August 4, voters are able to begin requesting absentee ballots for the November 3 Election. The actual absentee ballots will be available at the beginning of October and will be sent to any voter who has requested one, according to the City of Rockland, in a news release.

To obtain an absentee ballot, you can stop by the Clerk’s Office and fill out an application for yourself and/or an immediate family member, you can call the Clerk’s Office at (207) 594-0304 and request a ballot over the phone, or you can use the State of Maine’s Absentee Ballots Request Service at www.maine.gov.

Email and voice mail requests for Absentee Ballots are not allowed. The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot to be mailed to you will be Thursday, October 29, but in-person requests and voting may be done at the Clerk’s Office through Election Day.

All Absentee Ballots must be returned to the Clerk’s Office no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 3, but the election officials of the City of Rockland are requesting that absentee ballots be returned to the Clerk’s Office by Friday, October 30 to facilitate the processing of the ballots.
