Rockland Police investigating kayak thefts

    ROCKLAND — The Rockland Police Department has received several reports over the past few weeks of stolen kayaks, according to a news release on its Facebook page April 26.

    Police said that in total, three kayaks have been reported stolen from the boat racks provided for public use by the City of Rockland.

    One kayak, described as having a yellow top and white bottom, was stolen from the rack near Buoy Park. Two other kayaks, both described as red 9’ Dagger Zydeco 9.0 kayaks, were stolen from the rack located at Snow Marine Park.

    All of the owners reported to police that the boats were locked with cable locks at the time of the thefts.
