Rockland Library book group to focus on critically acclaimed, award-winning novels

ROCKLAND — Rockland Public Library announces a new book discussion group beginning in January 2020. The group will meet on the third Wednesday of each month from 3 - 4 p.m., in the Library Board Room.

The focus will be on critically acclaimed and award-winning novels from the past five years.

The program will kick off on January 15 with a discussion of Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward, which won the 2017 National Book Award for Fiction.

According to the Library, “The Washington Post describes Ward as ‘one of the most powerfully poetic writers in the country.’”
